What is Coaching?

Coaching is a technique, helping anyone make positive changes to their lives. So enabling them to live a life in the way they wish and feel more able to cope with the everyday ups and downs.

What is the difference between coaching and counselling?

Counselling and other talking therapies, such as psychotherapy, tend to focus on challenging situations in the past that have affected the way you are or your life is at present. Coaching focuses on what is possible now and is solution-focused, exploring ways of changing behaviour, thoughts, outlook, emotional responses, concerns and fears of the future, so that you are more able to cope with and live a more balanced, empowered life.

What is a coaching session like?

A session can be either face to face, on skype, zoom or over the phone. For information about where I work please go "Here". Sessions usually last one hour and are either weekly, twice weekly or further apart, depending on your needs.

People generally agree to book for 6 sessions where a verbal commitment ‘contract’ is made by the coach and coachee. Within the coaching format, this is the recommended number of sessions to allow change.

I work with each individual to help them explore the main issues. Through careful questioning we explore techniques and ways that support you to find solutions that are positive and work for you.

Physiotherapy & Treatments Costs: Sessions are on a sliding scale of £60 - £80

The sliding scale can be tailored to your financial circumstances, please feel free to discuss with me prior to or at your initial session.
